Grass-fed beef is lower in calories, contains more healthy omega-3 fats, more vitamins A and E, higher levels of antioxidants, and up to seven times the beta-carotene. In addition, according to Cooking Light switching to grass-fed beef will save you 16, 642 calories a year. The saving on calories is just a bonus, grass fed beef is a much healthier option and I highly recommend it to all my clients. I also encourage my clients to join their local CSA. (community-supported agriculture group) See my post on Puget Sound Health to find your local CSA. https://debsholisticnutrition.wordpress.com/2011/03/18/puget-sound-fresh/
